The third annual MO-KAN Live Mounting Contest was another huge success. This may have been the most diverse set of competitors we have had at this event. This year participants demonstrated their methods of mounting an armadillo, black bear, bobcat, snapping turtle, crawdads, whitetail, and casting and coloring of reproduction antlers. Around 30 people attended the event and all of the reactions I got were extremely positive. At the conclusion of the mounting period the votes were cast and everyone in attendance was treated to a great BBQ pulled pork dinner with plenty of sides and desserts. Ohio Taxidermy Supply was gracious enough to donate 4 manikins, pairs of eyes, ear liners, ear butts, and liner inserts. These items were auctioned off and the money generated paid for the entire event!
